Dans une communication rendue publique ce mardi 24 juin 2025, la Rapporteuse spéciale des Nations Unies sur la situation des défenseurs et défenseuses des droits humains, Mary Lawlor UN Special Rapporteur for human rights defenders, accompagnée d’autres experts onusiens, tire la sonnette d’alarme sur de graves allégations d’enlèvements, de disparitions forcées et de tortures visant des militants guinéens des droits humains.
📌 Les experts reviennent notamment sur la situation très préoccupante de nos militants; Oumar Sylla, connu sous le nom de Foniké Menguè (coordonnateur national du Front National Pour La Défense De La Constitution-FNDC), et Mamadou Billo Bah (coordonnateur de Tournons La Page_Guinée); qui ont été enlevés le 9 juillet 2024 à Conakry. Ils évoquent également le cas d’Abdoul Sacko, coordinateur national du Forum des Forces Sociales de #Guinée, victime présumée d’enlèvement et de torture.
📍 La communication avait été transmise au gouvernement guinéen le 23 avril 2025, dans le cadre de la procédure confidentielle habituelle de 60 jours permettant aux autorités de répondre aux préoccupations exprimées. Mais ce délai s’est écoulé sans aucune réponse du régime du Président Mamadi Doumbouya.

🚨#Guinea: UN slams inaction over abductions and enforced disappearances
In a public statement released on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Mary Lawlor UN Special Rapporteur for human rights defenders, along with other UN experts, raised the alarm over serious allegations of abductions, enforced disappearances, and torture targeting Guinean human rights activists.
📌 The experts specifically highlighted the deeply concerning situation of activists Oumar Sylla, known as Foniké Menguè (national coordinator of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution – FNDC), and Mamadou Billo Bah (coordinator of Tournons La Page_Guinea), who were abducted on July 9, 2024, in Conakry. They also referred to the case of Abdoul Sacko, National Coordinator of the Forum of Social Forces of #Guinea, who is reportedly a victim of abduction and torture.
📍 The communication had been sent to the Guinean government on April 23, 2025, under the standard 60-day confidential procedure allowing the authorities time to respond to the concerns raised. However, this period has passed without any official response from the regime of Président Mamadi Doumbouya.
